Let us once again join together to celebrate the time of Samhain as the earth gets ready to take

its yearly rest.

Join us for our Samhain weekend where we will turn our focus inward and look to our Ancestry, and our Fathers, and explore ways of honouring both - what they have taught us, what we may still need to learn from them, and how we might carry their torch forwards into the future. Rituals devised by our Ritual team, involving all our senses, indoors and outdoors, in large groups and small council groups and individual focus time, which will help us explore this area of work.

This year’s Mordhail looks to the past and also to the future which involves discussion and deep thinking on two major events coming up in 2023 and 2024. Running an MROP next year and then, for the very first time, to run Ireland's first YMROP (Young Men's RITEs of Passage) in 2024. These are major undertakings and we would appreciate as many men as possible to be present to tease out all the ramifications that both events will involve.

The venue is Castletown, Co Laois which is very central for those traveling from the four corners of Ireland. For those traveling from the UK or mainland Europe simply pop the Eircode into Google Maps and it will take you straight to the venue.

 Registration for this event is mandatory for logistical and catering purposes. 

The cost for the weekend is €160 for a standard room or €190 with En Suite. This includes all your meals. Please insert your name in the narrative when making your payment.

We are very aware that everybody's financial situation is different. The most important thing is for men to come together, so please do not let costs put you off from joining us at this gathering. The rates listed above are guidelines (to help us to break even) but if they are prohibitive, please let us know. Your presence is most welcome and wanted, and we are eager to hear your voice in the sacred circle as we sit with each other and our ancestors.
